Northumbria University

Northumbria University offers its students a range of options, depending on the type of course offered. It is one of the major hubs of learning in Newcastle in northeast England. There are a variety of academic subjects offered to the students, ranging from part time to flexible, from distance learning to self-taught. The Northumbria University draws its students from all over the world, including countries of Asia, Australia and America. While the courses offered on a flexible basis may require some attendance in occasionally held workshops, distance learning courses do not require any attendance. There are two campuses, the larger one in Newcastle City Campus and the other in Coach Lane Campus.

  • Sport Management by distance learning, a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma/MSc which can be completed in either 12-18 months or 3 years distance learning,
  • Advanced Legal Practice, a LLM for a duration of 18 months Distance Learning,
  • Business Law, a Postgraduate Certificate for 9- 12 months distance learning,
  • Construction Pathway, which forms a part of the MSc Surveying/Construction program, a MSc 2 years distance learning program,
  • Early Years and Primary (Flexible), a Professional Graduate Certificate of Education 1 to 2 years of Distance Learning,
  • Graduate Diploma in Law/Common Professional Examination (GDL/CPE) , a Postgraduate Diploma for 2 years distance learning,
  • Legal Practice and Policy, a MA for a duration of 18 months Distance Learning,
  • LLB Hons for 4 to 6 years Distance Learning and Project Management, a MSc for 2 and a half years of Distance Learning.

The application for the part-time and online courses of the University can be made through the University website http://www.ucas.com/students/apply/. While the courses can be applied online, they are to be addressed directly to the University, with some exceptions of the law and teacher education. The forms are available either online or a specific course-related form may be required. Once enrolled into the University, students can have access to all University-related information through their e-learning portal.
